Cross-Culture Picnic

Darfur Women Network will host a Cross-culture picnic at Garfield Park, bringing people of all cultures together to make positive connections and share culture through food. There will be different ethnic foods, drinks, and desserts representing at least 10 different cultures for attendees to eat. The attendees can also participate in activities including international trivia, a scavenger hunt, cultural games competition, dance demonstrations, and more! The DWN mission: “To raise public awareness, provide educational outlets, use specialized programming, assist and encourage refugee women, girls and families displaced by the Darfur conflict so they may re-establish personal empowerment and flourishing communities in the face of adversity.”
