About the Mandela Washington Fellowship Program
For the fourth year, Indiana University has been selected as an institute partner for the 2019 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. Twenty-five IU Mandela Washington Fellows from across Sub-Saharan Africa will participate in a six-week executive-style professional development institute focused on civic leadership, hosted by IU’s Office of International Development and IUPUI’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). The fellowship provides the IU community with opportunities to network and collaborate with young African leaders while also empowering the fellows through academic coursework, leadership training, mentoring, personal and professional opportunities, and local community engagement.
The fellows will be at IUPUI between June 20 and July 5, with leadership development workshops provided by OIA, the O’Neill School for Public and Environmental Affairs, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and the Kelley School of Business.
RSVP by 5 pm on June 25th to ensure your spot. When you RSVP, please be sure to include the first and last names for each person who will be coming. This information will be used to make a visitor badge for each visitor.
Parking at the Eli Lilly and Company Corporate Center is free for all attendees. Enter the visitor parking lot at the corner of Delaware and East McCarty Street, on the right side of the roundabout. You may park in any available spot.
